Denison Witmer is part of the emerging indie-folk scene in America. Witmer's band, the River Bends, helped put his name on the map when the group surfaced a few years ago. Since then, Witmer has toured the world and produced critically acclaimed albums with the likes of Don Peris and Sufjan Stevens.
Boston saxophonist Daniel Bennett plays folk-trance music, backed by acoustic guitar and bass. The music is a strange concoction of Steve Reich, Paul Desmond, and Bill Frisell. The Daniel Bennett Group travels extensively, and is preparing for their second full length album.
The show is produced by Bennett Alliance, a collective of musicians that produces eclectic- only" types of events around the Northeast. The show starts at 7:30 pm and admission is just $8 at the door.
