Appearing at the Cheltenham Center for the Arts — 439 Ashbourne Road in Cheltenham PA — on Wednesday, April 3rd is singer Denise Montana. Tickets are $10, $5 for students, and are available only at the door. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. Information: 215-517-8337.

There isn’t much this double platinum-selling recording artist has not done in the business. Whether singing jazz, blues, pop, rock or compositions from the great American songbook, Montana is a vibrant and charismatic performer who imbues every song with her own singular stamp. She has headlined at the top clubs and festivals all over the world, appeared extensively as a singer and actress on national and area television and radio, and worked with just about every top name in the music business. Denise will be accompanied by three world-class artists: Pianist Aaron Graves, bassist Matthew Parrish and drummer Francois Zayas.

Remember that April is Jazz Month in the United States and all over the world, making this a more than appropriate time to support Jazz and all the Jazz Bridge events this month. Jazz Bridge is a Philadelphia-based non-profit organization dedicated to assisting area jazz and blues musicians in need. Their Jazz Bridge in Cheltenham program is one in a series at this venue along with four other area locales. For more details, visit Jazz Bridge.

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded albums and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, limited reopenings and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary step that will help musicians and venues now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the sticky footer ad). Thank you!
