Dave Stapleton Quintet gives fans a unique opportunity to be involved in their highly anticipated third album
When Dave Stapleton and Tim Dickeson set up Edition Records in 2008, they could hardly have hoped for a better start. In tough economic times, this ambitious label has gone from strength to strength. For the first time, Dave and Tim are giving music fans the opportunity to play a major part in a future Edition Records' release. Edition’s ever-expanding catalogue contains major releases by Keith Tippett, Bourne Davis Kane, Mark Lockheart, Troyka and the Dave Stapleton Quintet. Your contribution will see you become an important part of one of UK jazz’s most innovative labels.
Since the release of DSQ’s highly acclaimed second album ‘The House Always Wins’ in September 2007, the group have played extensively throughout the UK and Europe, performing to sell out crowds at festivals in Budapest, Cheltenham, Belgrade, London, Cork, Coventry and Midem (Cannes). Over the last year Dave Stapleton has been writing new material for the third album and is planning to record for release in early 2010.
With this album, DSQ are giving you the chance to participate in the making of the album in return for a credit in the liner notes. They are offering three levels of contribution from £12, £20 and £50. At each level you will get a personal credit on the album, an advance copy of the CD and a signed photo of the band performing at Midem 2009 (if you sign up before May 1st). At the higher levels you will receive much, much more for your support.
