Dave Frank School of Jazz opens in NYC

Renowned Berklee College of Music Piano Professor, jazz pianist Dave Frank has moved to NYC to direct the Dave Frank School of Jazz at 29 W 57th St., the premises of Frank and Camille's Fine Pianos on 57th. Located in the heart of Manhattan, the DFS of J will be a unique center for jazz education, focusing on developing the musical potential of piano/keyboard students at all levels of playing, and will also offer state-of-the-art improv lessons for players of all instruments. Private lessons will be offered weekly or bi-weekly, and monthly concerts/master classes will be offered free to the public by Dave. A free consultation with no obligation is available to all, during which time the student will receive a suggested curriculum for study. Personal video correspondence lesson will also be offered worldwide for players with a minimum of one year of playing experience in any style of music.

Dave is a celebrated music educator and one of the top solo pianists on the scene. He is the author of Hal Leonard's best-selling book and video series JOY OF IMRPOV and BREAKTHROUGH TO IMPROV, and has toured worldwide. Dave was recently featured on NPR's weekly show JAZZ INSPIRED, with Judy Carmichael, and will be featured this fall on BET on Jazz and in KEYBOARD magazine.
