About Dan Andersen

Dan Andersen is a jazz guitarist and composer based in Los Angeles who is currently a doctoral candidate at the University Of Southern California Thornton School Of Music. As part of the New Orleans music scene he has performed at the city's premier jazz club Snug Harbor and has made appearances though out Louisiana and Mississippi. Dan may be heard on the album Introducing Julia LaShae which was voted the #3 album of 2003 by the Times-Piciyune. As a leader, he headlined the 1995 Mad River festival and was awarded Outstanding Guitarist of the 1997 Pacific Coast Collegiate Jazz Festival in Berkley California.
