Artist to be featured in New Year’s Eve Bash at 2 Kats Live in North Dallas

Dallas, TX: Singer and songwriter Debra Marie is in pretty good company on the United Kingdom Soul Chart. Amid soul and R&B music heavies Angie Stone, Jeffrey Osbourne, Faith Evans, and Dwele, the Dallas native is holding her own on the weekly compilation.

Debra Marie’s release, “Stanzas Of My Life” has continually jump each week on the UK Soul Chart (http://www.uksoulchart.com/). For the Top 30 countdown for the week of Dec. 16, the CD sits at No. 10, up three spots from last week’s appearance.

“Stanzas Of My Life” was the highest debut for the week of Nov. 21 at No. 26. Since then, the CD has experienced increased rotation placement on indie radio in the United States and in Europe.

“DJ’s from around the world have located me on Facebook requesting my music,” Debra Marie said. “This is amazing, to say the least.”

As she rides the wave of her boost in popularity, Debra Marie is slated to perform a New Year’s Eve concert with The Rob Holbert Group at 2 Kats Live (www.2kats.com), 9410 Walnut St. Suite 116, in Dallas, from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Cost is $20 per person and includes party favors and a champagne toast. Call (214) 570-9638 for more information.

Gary Lee of the UK Soul Chart said the chart is compiled through weekly airplay on radio shows and fans reactions on various forums in the UK. The tracks from “Stanzas Of My Life” receiving a high dose of airplay in the UK are “Way Back When,” Unconditional Love,” Lover’s Holiday, and “Home.”

Debra Marie’s eight-track release is available on CD Baby.

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
