CultureCatch.com's annual Best New Jazz Albums list is out. Sitting at #1 is David S. Ware & Planetary Unknown's album on AUM Fidelity, Live at Jazz Festival Saalfelden 2011. Artist of the Year honors go to Brazilian saxophonist Ivo Perelman, who released six albums on Leo Records in 2012. Top historical recording is the Miles Davis Quintet's Live in Europe 1967.
