Welcome back fellow travelers as we continue our journey through the Jazz Continuum... this leg of the journey involves a little cruise around the world in search of the perfect groove.
We start with a beautifully energizing sunrise off the Pacific Coast courtesy of some classic contemporary Jazz from Spyro Gyra... then we pop over to Italy to hear some brand new Latin Jazz from Gerardo Frisina... and continue in the Afro-Cuban vein with the Groove Collective and Baby Buddah Heads.
We continue southward to find the groove via Afro-Brazilian Bossa and Samba blends from the likes of Jazzelicious, Electro Coco and Sergio Mendes (joined by Ledesi to sing some soulful Jobim) . . . then popping over to the Middle East by way of Vienna for some eclectic jazz grooves served up in the unique style of dZihan & Kamien, followed by some French Afro-beat from the Awa Band, and a touch of Lebanese jazz blended with Parisian soul by Toufic Farroukh joined by Jeanne Added.
By this time you will probably be exhausted - so, we end our journey listening to the Brecker Brothers bring in the sunset over African Skies. It's quite a journey - so, enjoy the ride!
