Scandinavian guitarist/composer Torben Waldorff goes into the studio for his third recording at ArtistShare, July 28 - 29 in New York City. The CD project, with the working title of Excavate, comes on the heels of Waldorff's critically acclaimed CD Afterburn and also features the original music of Torben Waldorff on guitar, Donny McCaslin on saxophones, bassist Matt Clohesy, drummer Jon Wikan and new in the set-up, pianist Jon Cowherd, known from his work in Brian Blade's Fellowship Band.

The unique ArtistShare project lets fans and guitar aficionados follow and support the creative process behind the making of the music and the recording of the studio album. Through his website waldorff.com fans of this music can get involved right away and are offered a unique insight into the creative process that leads up to the release of the finished CD on November 1, 2009. The online experience shows the compositional process, rehearsal and concert performance insights, the studio recording and other elements. Exclusive and more personalized project packages are available for project sponsors and participants, who receive extras like credit in the CD booklet, bonus tracks, lead sheets, streaming audio, and much more.
