Come Sunday: Inspiration for Living with Heart is a journey of stories and quotes of inspiration and faith that were shared by a cancer doctor and patients over 25 years; reflections and appreciation of jazz legends, sports figures, and the silent heroes that the author calls “Cancer victors and victors of faith"--the patients themselves and those that serve them. Come Sunday is a timely message of faith and hope and speaks to the heart of every person.

Come Sunday includes the first chapter tribute to jazz musicians “Coltrane and Dolphy: The Spirit of a Jazz Musician" and a “Suggested Listening" chapter consisting of a discography of classic spiritual jazz recordings. Come Sunday has captured the attention of musicians, athletes, coaches, educators, clergy, and health care professionals and patients. The book is written in light and soothing prose and is a warm companion reader.

Come Sunday is a book for all seasons and all people. And it is truly a book about living...and winning." says Hall of Fame basketball coach Jim and Juli Boeheim at Syracuse University in the foreword. “Dr. Paul Stomper's command of both medical and musical disciplines in caring for cancer patients is truly unique, easing the patients... in both body and soul." says Phil Wilson, jazz trombonist and professor at the Berklee College of Music. “A truly inspirational and thought-provoking book." says multiple Grammy Award-winning jazz bassist Stanley Clarke. “Connections as inspiring as they are surprising, moving, and profound... a resounding chord of hope and faith." says Bill Dobbins, professor of jazz studies and contemporary media at the Eastman School of Music.
