This season, Chamber Music America pilots a new grant opportunity, Presenter Consortium for Jazz, in direct response to presenters’ recommendations gathered during CMA’s National Conversations.

This replaces Presenting Jazz, a CMA program from 2009-13 that granted over $500,000 to 64 presenting organizations for chamber jazz concerts.

Presenter Consortium for Jazz provides support to consortiums of three U. S. presenters that collectively engage up to three professional U.S. jazz ensembles (consisting of 2-10 musicians each) to perform at each presenter’s venue. Additional incentives are available to each consortium that invites one of the 171 CMA New Jazz Works grantee ensembles to perform its entire CMA commission.

Deadline: Friday, February 7, 2014, 5:00 P.M., ET

Notification: May 2014

Grant Period: June 1, 2014–August 31, 2015

A component of the Doris Duke Jazz Ensembles Project, Presenter Consortium for Jazz is funded by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation
