Chico Hamilton (drums), with Cary DeNigris (guitar), Paul Ramsey (bass), Evan Schwam* (tenor) and Jon Gordon (horns) Awarded the prestigious NEA Jazz Masters Fellowship in 2004, drummer, bandleader and faculty member Chico Hamilton has been a fixture in the jazz world for over 50 years, and over the years, has performed with such jazz legends as Count Basie, Lionel Hampton, Lester Young, Ella Fitzgerald, Lena Horne, Gerry Mulligan, Ron Carter, among many others. In 1955 he won great acclaim for leading his own Quintet, and ever since has been known for his talent of spotting rising Jazz stars. Tonight Chico brings his multi-generational band
