Cheltenham Jazz Festival’s Dedicated Radio Station: Jazz Town FM 87.7

The internationally renowned Cheltenham Jazz Festival is to host its own dedicated radio station with Jazz Town FM available at 87.7 FM and worldwide online at www.fromheretoear.com

Broadcast live from an onsite radio station at The Cheltenham Town Hall, the one-week radio station provides exclusive live performances from Jazz Festival artists, festival news and interviews.

The station is in its second year of broadcast and is run by students from The University of Gloucestershire's Radio Production and Popular Music courses. Last year's broadcast saw interviews with Imelda May and live performances from Kit Downes Trio and with this year's lineup including Jamie Cullum and Hugh Laurie the station promises some more great content.

Executive Director of the Cheltenham Jazz Festival Ian George said “The station was a huge success last year and we were excited to hear that the University and students wanted to get involved again this year."

Robbie Pert Jazz Town FM station manger said “It's a fantastic opportunity to be involved with, it means that the festival can be listened to by Jazz fans all over the world."

Jazz Town FM can be heard on 87.7 FM and online at www.fromheretoear.com It will be available to listen to for the duration of the festival, which runs from Thursday 28th April to Monday 2nd May.
