She has just released her debut album entitled “Searching for the Soul" on FreeHam Records. To celebrate this sizzling release, Clamor will be hosting a CD Release Party on Tuesday, November 29th, 2005 at the world-famous Catalina Bar & Grill, 6725 Sunset Blvd., Hollywood, CA 90028. Doors open at 7pm.
This CD marks a professional stepping stone for Ms. Clamor, who was joined on the recording by music greats John Belzaguy, Gustavo Garcia, Glenn Garret, Andy Howe, Kim Richmond, Dave Tull, Kenny Wild and Zaxariades. The CD was recorded in 2005, and combines classic Great American Songbook jazz with torch song drama and soulful inflections. Her warm sexy vocals and vibrant stage presence are reflective in this moving CD.

The sultry smooth alto voice of Charmaine Valeriano Clamor, was born in the Philippines. She began her singing career at the age of 3, entertaining passengers (whether they liked it or not!) in the back of buses traveling to Manila. As she got older, she began providing piano accompaniment while her mother sang English language classics and Kundiman (Filipino) love songs. From these memories comes her love of the Great American Songbook.
Since arriving in Los Angeles in 1988, Charmaine has performed at the House of Blues, The Hop, Pasadena Civic Auditorium, Los Angeles Convention Center, Glendale Civic Auditorium and Cerritos Performing Arts Center, among others. She has worked with numerous well-known mainstream artists, including Jeffery Osborne and James Ingram, and legendary Filipino artists, including Gary Valenciano, Banig, and Timmy Cruz. Charmaine is the alto voice of the jazz harmony quintet, Crescendo since 1999. As a Pinay, Charmaine is proud to have performed at numerous events that celebrate the Filipino culture, including the First Anniversary of the founding of historic Filipino Town in Los Angeles. She is one of the founding members of Jazzphil-USA, a nonprofit organization which promotes Filipino-American Jazz Artists in the United States and was a headliner for the first Filipino-American Jazz Festival held at the world famous Catalina Bar & Grill, with such Pinoy jazz greats as Emil Mijares, Toti Fuentes, Sadra Lim Viray and Tillie Moreno.
