Award-Winning Acclaimed Artist, Charlie Harrington, has signed withAllegra Drums. He is an in demand session musician with a well-established reputation as a first call drummer. Charlie joins, among others, country drumming veteran Ric McClure, James Brown funk drummer Erik Hargrove, Spyro Gyra alumn Tom Walsh, as well as jazz drumming and Motown great Mel Brown, in endorsing Allegra Drums.

Allegra Drum Crafters was founded in 1996 by Dave Peterson in Portland Oregon. The company enjoys a state of the art reputation with numerous top awards, including successive Snare Drum Olympics competition honors and most recently earning the 2011 Drum Magazine “Drummie Award" for the Best Custom Drum Builder category. Allegra Drums are known as the “Gold Standard” of drums in the studio and most of all “Tools of the Trade” for the serious artist and sound engineer. All agree that Allegra has reset the bar on quality, resonance, response, and musicality of drums!

Allegra's distinctive sounds and designs are created by its founder and owner, drumming industry veteran Dave Peterson, drawing on his primary background in acoustical instrument design. Dave's initial endeavors with instrument design and evaluation came with conical brass wind instruments and over the years he has successfully integrated these functional elements and principals into the superior playing characteristics in every Allegra Drum.

Master Craft series drums are the “behind the scenes" choice for many artists that endorse other drum companies. Allegra Drums start with an all maple 8 ply shell with precision machined round-peaked, hand- sanded bearing edges. Then they finish the interior with a five-step hand-rubbed lacquer process. On the exterior they offer an unparalleled selection of standard TourTuff™ gloss veneers or a choice of ten optional classic lacquer colors. The drum is then drilled and assembled with Allegra's proprietary finish-integrated post and turret tension casings. This unique hardware signature gives each Allegra snare drum a distinctive and enduring appearance. Allegra makes its own solid aluminum lugs in house. Their bass drums come standard with their exclusive bottom protector feet and pedal protection pads. Whether it’s Allegra’s exclusive combo lug, form fit mini claws, heavy duty bass drums spurs, heavy duty die cast bass drum claws, or the sonic neutral floor tom legs and tom mounting systems, Allegra Drums are in a class by themselves. Allegra also offers its own Power-Core Aluminum snare drum shell made with a proprietary mix of metals resulting in a sound that must be heard to believe.

When asked about Allegra Drums Charlie stated, “Everyone loves the sound of these drums! Engineers love them because they EQ so quickly with no effort. Artist love them for their pitch, tone, and the way they speak. The craftsmanship and finishing are world-class!” He went on to add, “I’m proud to join the Allegra Family.”
