About Cathy Rocco

Singing with deep conviction, this Pittsburgh native began performing professionally at age 10 with her sisters. The Rocco Sisters toured and recorded for Sutra records. For the past 10 years, Cathy has focused on singing jazz. She enjoys interpreting a seamless blend of jazz, blues and pop material. On this recording, she is heard to the fine effect. In a combination of small and large group performances. Rocco packs warmth and power into some well known standards and contemporary pieces. Her new release You're Gonna Hear From Me on Resonance Records features piano and arrangements from Kuno Schmid and Tamir Hendelman with Dave Carpenter (bass), Vic Stevens (drums) and Michael Higgins (guitar).

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded albums and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, limited reopenings and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary step that will help musicians and venues now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the sticky footer ad). Thank you!
