Jazz recording artist Carolyn Leonhart, long-time lead back-up vocalist with Steely Dan, brings her intimate and soulful voice to The Village Quill, a new venue in Tribeca.

She will perform live on Saturday, July 16, 2005, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Cover charge is $10 at the door.

Performing songs from her acclaimed new album, New 8th Day, Carolyn returns with the grooves of tenor saxophonist Wayne Escoffery, pianist Dan Kaufman, bassist Gary Wang, and drummer Aaron Thurston. New 8th Day has received rave reviews from the July 2005 issue of JAZZIZ Magazine and the August 2005 issue of JazzTimes.
