“Those of us who treasure truly creative singing will be following her progress for a long time." Bob Blumenthal

The child of noted jazz bassist Jay Leonhart, Carolyn Leonhart has an intimate and soulful voice that has won her much acclaim. She has been the lead back-up vocalist with the legendary jazz/rock band Steely Dan for three world tours. She can also be heard on the group's Grammy Award Winning CD Two Against Nature , and is strongly featured on the their most recent CD Everything Must Go . In 2003 Jazziz Magazine put her on the cover of its Women In Jazz issue -- evidence that Carolyn stands out in the crowded field of jazz vocalists. She released her first CD, Steal the Moon, in 2000 (Sunnyside Records ) . Since then she has performed in jazz clubs all over the world and, with her pop band Lyn Leon, has toured and performed with Al Jarreau. Her new CD, New 8th Day (Sunnyside Records) , will be released in April. www.carolynleonhart.com
