Two years after his first album Filet de Fonque, AllAboutJazz artist Calaminus from Stuttgart, Germany has finally released his new work On The Trail.

The 14 original instrumental compositions reflect his personal musical journey through different music influences of the world, merged with AcidJazz, Fusion & Funk to some groovy flavored listening adventure.

As a so called “one-man-band," Calaminus created everything alone: the whole music work as well as the artwork. All tracks are sequenced, using samples, loops, virtual instruments and only one master keyboard.

Intended to sound natural in opposite of many electronic musicians, he tried to keep the spirit of a band sound and spiced it with some improvisational moments.

The album, produced by himself to be non-commercial, is available for free download under Creative Common License.

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
