Brenda Carol Master Class: Choosing Repertoire for Auditions

A JAZZ MASTER CLASS WILL BE PRESENTED BY ACCLAIMED VOCALIST BRENDA CAROL ON JANUARY 31, 2009

Jon Long of Long & McQuade and Brenda Carol Vocal Lessons along with the generous support of the Beaches Jazz Festival Youth Initiatives are pleased to present a Free jazz/rock master class with internationally acclaimed singer Brenda Carol. This master class lecture is funded by the Ontario Trillium Foundation. Ms. Carol will be highlighting the choices of repertoire as it applies to admissions programs (high school and post secondary school), entrance auditions, exams and musical applications in Canada. She will be accompanied by a pianist to be announced closer to the date. This jazz master class lecture coincides with the 3rd Annual Brenda Carol Renaissance Jazz Fair held Friday, January, 30th, Saturday, January 31st, and Sunday February, 1st, 2009.

Brenda Carol is one of the finest jazz singers of recent times. Her master class will give young singers, students, jazz fans, rock, progressive rock fans and music lovers a rare opportunity to gain valuable information from an important vocalist.
