"Organic Chemistry", by the late great organist Bobby Forrester, has been released nationally today on Lollipop Recordings. It is Forrester's first and only CD as a leader, recorded at Smalls in New York City shortly before his untimely death two years ago, and includes Bubba Brooks (from Bill Doggett's group) on tenor sax, William Ash on guitar, and Tootsie Bean on drums. This is a smokin' record by the king of Harlem's Hammond B3 scene and R&B legend Ruth Brown's organist of 26 years. Available in retail stores and online at http://www.amazon.com.
