BOBBI HUMPHREY: Named “First Lady of the Flute" by critics and listeners alike, Bobbi Humphrey (flute) has been playing her special brand of music to audiences around the world. In 1971 she was the first female instrumentalist signed to Blue Note Records. Her distinctive sound is in the fusion, jazz-funk and soul-jazz styles and today, she is the only successful female urban-pop flutist on the scene. She was acclaimed “Best Female Instrumentalist" for 1976 and 1978 in both Billboard and Record World, and “Best Female Vocalist" in Cashbox. $20.00 Music Charge.

Friday, October 9th & Saturday, October 10th at 8:00pm & 10:00pm
CLIFTON ANDERSON: This fine trombonist is the longtime bandmate of the great Sonny Rollins, and also Sonny's nephew. With his latest release Decade Clifton Anderson (trombone) has stepped out as a formidable leader. His warm “chestnut tone" and distinctive style make him one of the modern greats on his instrument, and one of the few to live up to a legacy started by players like JJ Johnson or Curtis Fuller many years back. Musicians include Russel Blake (bass), Steve Williams (drums), and Eric Wyatt (tenor sax). $20.00 Music Charge.

Friday, October 16th & Saturday, October 17th at 8:00pm & 10:00pm
GRADY TATE: For over 40 years, Grady Tate (vocals) has been one of the worlds most versatile and frequently recorded musicians. His resume includes stints with everyone from Quincy Jones and Duke Ellington to Aretha Franklin, Stan Getz, and the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson - where he was house drummer for six years. World-renowned as a drummer extraordinaire, his warm baritone voice has been equally lauded. Nat Hentoff in The Village Voice describes Tate as “the best singer to emerge from the ranks of instrumentalists since Nat Cole." Known for interpreting the emotional power of words and melody, Grady's musical dimensions inform his performances as a compelling singer and virtuoso drummer across many musical genres. $20.00 Music Charge.

Every Wednesday from 8pm to Midnight
STUFF BROTHERS & SISTERS: An homage to STUFF - the 70s musical phenomenon featuring the best session players in the business. This dynamite band features some of today's best studio musicians including: Gary Sieger (guitar), who records regularly with Jason Robert Brown and has been heard on Broadway in countless shows; Frank Canino, who has played with everyone from Ray Charles to Ben E. King; Chris Parker (drums), original STUFF member, who has recorded with many greats such as Gladys Knight, Aretha Franklin and Bonnie Raitt; Steve Greenfield (saxophone), who has recorded with Kool and the Gang and played on Broadway in The Producers and more; Andy Burton on piano; and vocalists Roy Bennett, Maxine Brown and Beverly Crosby. Great music! R&B and Soul. Special surprise guests sitting in every Wednesday night. $7.00 Music Charge.

Creole (www.creolenyc.com) is known for its quality food and music and for bringing Jazz, Latin Jazz and R&B back uptown. Located in the heart of East Harlem, its ambiance is reminiscent of the nostalgic jazz supper club era that spawned careers of countless jazz and blues artists who went on to make history. At Creole, one is immediately comforted by warmth and hospitality, as well as international cuisine, which features dishes such as blackened spice catfish, sweet potato beignets, and 20 variations of classic gumbo. Proprietor Kevin Walters prides himself on this unique environment that marries art, music, culture, entertainment, food and a sense of community in one location.
