These recent jazz releases from Blue Note are on sale at www.truebluemusic.com through March 31st.

Thelonious Monk Quartet At Carnegie Hall with John Coltrane (Sale price $12.98)
The most amazing jazz discovery in years: a heretofore unknown November 1957 Carnegie Hall concert taped in excellent fidelity by the legendary Monk Quartet with John Coltrane, Ahmet Abdul-Malik and Shadow Wilson. And the music more than delivers on its promise.

Andrew Hill - Time Lines (Sale price $12.98)
This extraordinary pianist/composer returns to Blue Note for this outstanding 2005 date with his quartet (Greg Tardy on tenor sax and bass clarinet, John Hebert on bass and Eric McPherson on drums) and guest artist Charles Tolliver on trumpet, who'd appeared on several of Hill's '60s Blue Note sessions. Hill's writing has taken a leap forward on this project and the sidemen are exceptional.

Gonzalo Rubalcaba - Solo (Sale price $12.98)
As the title indicates, this is a solo album, the first, by one of the most brilliant and innovative pianists in jazz today. Drawing on works by great Cuban composers as well as his own originals, he creates amazing pianistic tapestries on this beautifully recorded set.

Robert Glasper - Canvas (Sale price $9.98)
Glasper's trio, which has been a critics' darling in New York since 2004, makes its debut with this album. Tenor saxophonist Mark Turner is added on the title tune and Herbie Hancock's “Riot." Vocalist Bilal joins them on “Chant" and “I Remember." Glasper, who draws influence from the spectrum of jazz greats, is a fresh, swinging voice on piano.

Terence Blanchard - Flow (Sale price $12.98)
Blanchard's working band with saxophonist Brice Winston, guitarist Lionel Loueke and pianist Aaron Parks is on the cutting edge, producing some of the strongest pure jazz on the scene. This album was produced by Herbie Hancock, who also plays on “Benny's Tune" and “The Source".

Wynton Marsalis - Live At The House Of Tribes (Sale price $13.98)
Marsalis is at the height of his powers and lets go on trumpet for this informally recorded jam session recorded in December 2002. His quintet includes Wess Anderson on alto and Eric Lewis on piano.

Cannonball Adderley - Money In The Pocket (Sale price $11.98)
This March 1966 live session by Adderley's quintet from Chicago was recently discovered. The best of the material has been remixed and put on this 63-minute CD. Highlights include the debut of Joe Zawinul's “Requiem For A Jazz Musician," a revival of Adderley's slow blues “Hear Me Talkin' To Ya" from his first record date in 1955, a masterful version of “Star Dust" and an explosive version of “Fiddler On The Roof."

Kenny Burrell - The Artist Selects (Sale price $11.98)
Lou Donaldson - The Artist Selects (Sale price $11.98)
Freddie Hubbard - The Artist Selects (Sale price $11.98)
Gerald Wilson - The Artist Selects (Sale price $11.98)
For this unique series of 70-plus minute compilations, the artist himself reviewed his entire body of work at Blue Note or Pacific Jazz, selected what he felt were his greatest and most important performances and wrote liner notes to tell why. Fascinating, historic discs.

Peggy Lee - Travelin' Light (Sale price $9.98)
This 15 song collection, selected by Miss Lee herself, come not from her early pop sessions for Capitol, but from her 1949 recordings for Capitol's Transcription Service, which supplied newly recorded music to radio stations that was not released commercially. The result was that Miss Lee didn't have to chase hits. She picked the best tunes she could find and recorded them in a relaxed, jazz-flavored setting with a quintet led by husband-guitarist Dave Barbour and featured the added guitar of George Van Eps.

Stefon Harris - A Cloud Of Red Dust (Sale price $9.98)
A new voice on vibes and marimba, Harris's first album infuses African and Latin rhythms into the modern jazz tradition. Mulgrew Miller, Greg Osby and Steve Turre are among the sidemen on this impressive debut.

Joe Lovano - Flights Of Fancy (Sale price $12.98)
This master saxophonist comes through with another varied and exciting album. This one features four distinctive trios: #1 with Cameron Brown and Idris Muhammad, #2 with Billy Drewes and Joey Baron, #3 with Toots Thielemans and Kenny Werner and #4 with Dave Douglas and Mark Dresser. Classics by Wayne Shorter, McCoy Tyner and John Coltrane supplement Lovano originals.

Jason Moran - Soundtrack To Human Emotion (Sale price $9.98)
This remarkable young artist's advanced harmonies and unique phrasing extend the hard bop tradition with panache. Essentially a trio date with Lonnie Plaxico and Eric Harland, vibist Stefon Harris is added on three tunes and Greg Osby on alto and soprano saxophones joins in on five. “It's amazing to behold the idiosyncratic maturity of the 24-year-old pianist . . . a debut recording as fully formed as [this] is rare." - Ben Ratliff, New York Times.

Greg Osby - Inner Circle (Sale price $13.98)
This quintet with Stefon Harris on vibes, Jason Moran on piano, Tarus Mateen on bass and Eric Harland on drums is the best group that Greg Osby has ever led. Jimmy Rushing - Five Feet Of Soul (Sale price $9.98)
