Bill Frisell Offers Special Download To Benefit Houston’s Mayor, Sylvester Turner’s Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund

American guitarist, Bill Frisell, one of the most sought after voices in contemporary music is offering a special download to benefit Houston’s mayor, Sylvester Turner’s Hurricane Harvey relief fund. 100% of the profits will go to the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund which was created by Turner, as a direct response to individuals and corporations asking how they could help the city. On Monday, August 28th, three days after Hurricane Harvey hit Houston, Turner who is also a lawyer, announced in a press conference that he would personally represent any undocumented people who faced deportation as a result of seeking help because of the storm.

Frisell’s special download, compiled and assembled by producers Lee Townsend and Adam Blomberg, includes the songs listed below—all composed by Frisell and performed live with his long-standing musical colleagues – Brian Blade, Sidiki Camara, Vinicius Cantuária, Matt Chamberlain, Christos Govetas, Eyvind Kang, Viktor Krauss, Greg Leisz, David Piltch, Hank Roberts, Ron Miles, Jenny Scheinman, Tony Scherr, Kenny Wollesen & Sam Yael:
