The Bill Charlap Trio with Kenny Washington and Peter Washington will play the Jeanne Rimsky Theater at the Landmark on Main Street Community Center in Port Washington NY (on Long Island about 18 miles from Manhattan.) The concert is set for Saturday, January 20th at 8:00 PM.

Bill Charlap is a pianist whose name keeps coming up when musicians, critics and fans talk about keyboard greats known for a special way with a song -- Tommy Flanagan, Jimmy Rowles, Oscar Peterson and the late Bill Evans. (Read the AAJ reviews) New York Times reviewer Peter Watrous praised his “ease and elegance that are rarely found in jazz."

The Landmark audience can expect a swinging exploration of the “Great American Songbook" -- Gershwin, Berlin, Cole Porter, Johnny Mercer, and Bill's father, Moose Charlap, composer of Mary Martin's “Peter Pan."

The Jeanne Rimsky Theater at the Landmark on Main Street Community Center is wonderfully intimate venue for jazz, and has one of the very few Steinway “D" concert grand pianos on Long Island.
