Large ensemble lovers have several options in as many locations for Jazz Week.

The Jazz Composers Alliance Orchestra holds court at the Cambridge Family YMCA Theatre with an offer to pay the first 50 attendees to show up.

The 19 piece JCA Orchestra will present a concert of new music by resident composers David Harris, Jim Hobbs, Darrell Katz, Bob Pilkington, Warren Senders and Norm Zocher. The JCA Orchestra has been bringing new and exciting music to Boston for 25 years now, and includes some of New England's finest improvising musicians, including Phil Scarff, Rebecca Shrimpton, Forbes Graham, Bill Lowe, Jim Hobbs and Mike Peipman.

The JCA Orchestra is tired of small audiences and the band will give $1 to Each of the First 50 Attendees at April 29 Concert. Plus, all who come will be entered in drawing to Win $50! The JCA Orchestra has put out 8 CD's to date, and is working on a new one.

Hal McIntyre Orchestra does its part at Amazing Things Arts Center in Framingham.

The Hal McIntyre Orchestra directed by Don Pentleton and featuring the alto saxophone of Tom Ferrante with the vocals of Steve Marvin at The Amazing Things Center For the Arts. 160 Hollis St. Framingham, MA 01701. Call for tickets at 508-405-2787. Reservations suggested.

And the perennial centerpiece, “An Ellington Celebration: From Standards to Sacred" with the Aardvark Jazz Orchestra and special guest Dominique Eade will be at the Emmanuel Church 15 Newbury Street, Boston.

The Aardvark Jazz Orchestra celebrates Duke Ellington's birthday ,April 29, with a program of standards, rarities, and selections from the Second Sacred Concert, performed in 1969 at Emmanuel Church. Vocal soloists include Dominique Eade, Grace Hughers, and Jerry Edwards. The concert is part of Jazz Week and of the Emmanuel Church's 150th Anniversary.
