Berklee Rainbow All-Stars Directed By Phil Wilson To Present "Jazz Vocal Night" On Tuesday, July 30th, At The Berklee Performance Center

BOSTON, July 19, 2002 - Internationally-acclaimed jazz trombonist and Berklee College of Music Brass Professor Phil Wilson will play with the Berklee Rainbow All-Stars in a concert of jazz and standard tunes, featuring vocalist Alisa Miles, as well as vocalist/trumpeter Christine Fawson.

The July 30th concert will showcase many of the college's top students, as the band prepares for its performance two days later at the second annual “Vineyard Vibes," a jazz festival on Martha's Vineyard presented by Berklee and BR Creative on Thursday, August 1. Peforming with Phil Wilson and The Berklee Rainbow All-Stars at “Vineyard Vibes 2" will be saxophone giant and Berklee Professor Joe Lovano, as well as Berklee alumna and Martha's Vineyard native Joanne Cassidy. MR. LOVANO WILL NOT APPEAR AT THE JULY 30th CONCERT.

On Tuesday, July 30th, the 12-piece Berklee Rainbow All-Stars will present their “Jazz Vocal Night" concert at 8:15 p.m. in the wheelchair-accessible Berklee Performance Center, 136 Massachusetts Avenue, Boston.
