The great jazz pianist George Cables recently underwent a double-transplant operation, receiving a new liver and kidney. While his recovery appears to be on-track, even in a best-case scenario it's likely to be six months before he can begin working again.

All Star Benefit Tribute for George Cables

Featuring:

Kenny Barron, Randy Brecker, Michael Carvin, Joe Chambers, SonnyFortune, Billy Harper, Winard Harper, Louis Hayes, Pete Laroca, Victor Lewis, Ronnie Mathews, Cecil McBee, Eric Reed, Rufus Reid, James Spaulding, Steve Turre, Cedar Walton, Lenny White, Buster Williams, Steve Wilson and Reggie Workman.

Those who cannot attend but would like to send a donation can do so at georgecables.com. The “George Cables Healing Fund" has been set up to collect funds to help offset George's expenses. The money will go directly to George with no operational costs or administrative costs (except what PayPal deducts).

If you prefer to send a check, PLEASE MAKE IT PAYABLE TO GEORGE CABLES and send to:
