Legendary Bassist Chuck Israels spent 6 years with the Bill Evans Trio. He also recorded with John Coltrane, Herbie Hancock, Stan Getz, and his own National Jazz Ensemble.

Busy as a composer and educator in recent years, appearances by Israels as a bassist in small groups have become all too rare. On Friday night February 28th , Israels leads a quintet of some of his favorite swinging musicians: Dan Faehnle - guitar; Rob Scheps - tenor sax; Miles Black- piano; and Jimmy Madison- drums. The concert is at 8 pm at Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington.
