Three Arts, Pops For Champagne, Green Dolphin Street And Hothouse

Ever-inventive NY-based vocalist Barbara Sfraga will be performing new material from her soon to be recorded CD at five Chicago venues from September 25th to October 2nd. The engagements and details are listed below.

This NY-Meets-Chicago project will be recorded in Chicago on October 3rd and 4th with Chicagoans: drummer Paul Wertico, guitarist John McLean, percussionist Kevin Patrick and NY bassist, Christopher Dean Sullivan.

All new material, they'll be popsterdizing jazz and jazzterdizing pop with music by Bob Dylan, Cole Porter, Minnie Ripperton, Thelonious Monk, Angela Bofill, Duke Ellington, Gil Scott-Heron, Lerner & Loewe and more. Ms. Sfraga has a CD out on Naxos Jazz (86047-2), Oh, What A Thrill, featuring Fred Hersch and Mark Murphy.
