Reeves’ lively performance will feature jazz renditions of holiday favorites such as “I’ll Be Home For Christmas” and “Let It Snow” from Reeves’ first holiday album, Christmas Time Is Here. Critic Ben Ratliff of The New York Times raved, “Ms. Reeves, a jazz singer of frequently astonishing skill, takes the assignment seriously; this is one of the best Christmas CD’s I’ve heard.”
A four-time Grammy® winner for Best Jazz Vocal Album, Reeves brings over two decades of performing and recording experience to this return engagement at the Annenberg Center. She has recorded with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and has performed numerous times with Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra. Praised by The New York Times as “one of the greatest living jazz singers,” Reeves was also the first singer to perform at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles. Over the span of her music career, Reeves has released a total of 13 solo albums. She was also the lead vocalist on the soundtrack recording for George Clooney’s acclaimed 2005 film Good Night, and Good Luck.
