Trumpeter Terell Stafford & Vincent Herring on alto-sax are backed by a great rhythm section consisting of Anthony Wonsey on piano, Peter Washington on bass and Ferit Odman on the drum-chair.

The leader keeps things surprising on this session with a selection of tunes by the likes of James Williams, Benny Golson, Cedar Walton and more..

The listener should expect a swinging hard-bop repertoire, plus two very beautiful ballads; “Autumn in New York" and “My Ideal."

This new release was recorded in New York last autumn and it is a dedication to the late great pianist/composer James Williams.
