Jazz, Blues and Latin music lovers from all over will have plenty of good reason to make their way to Atlantic City now that Atlantic City Jams! JAZZIN' AROUND TOWN Jazz & Blues Festival is being planned just for them! Scheduled for several dates this year from August through December, this “local and live" Jazz, Blues and Latin explosion offers visitors to Atlantic City an unforgettable wining and dining and entertainment experience with a great showcase of Jazz, Blues and Latin music acts (plus a Jazz-oetry Jamm) that will set the stage for a uniquely memorable time on the town. JAZZIN' AROUND TOWN will offer the chance to great performances by a top-flight roster of Eastern Seaboard Jazz, Blues and Latin artists representing the music scenes in Atlantic City, Philadelphia, New York City, Upstate NY, New Hampshire, South Jersey and Delaware.

Come Wednesday, August 20, 2008, JAZZIN' AROUND TOWN will debut as an invitation to all live music lovers, when this unprecedented and historic event will “take flight" immediately after the “Thunder Over The Boardwalk" AC Air Show. For 10 hours from 4pm until 2am, the fledgling festival will offer 45 performances by 15 bands taking their turns wailing in 12 mid-town AC restaurants, bars and lounges, including a Smooth Jazz party, a Latin dance party and a free Jazz-oetry Jamm(featuring aspiring poets reciting to the rhythms of a guest percussionist). Spread out over 13 blocks of real estate from Virginia Avenue to just past Mississippi Avenue, the participating establishments will offer a variety of wining and dining options.

JAZZIN' AROUND TOWN will begin to set the tone for a renaissance of live music for Atlantic City's local haunts and habitus, as world-traveled musicians rub shoulders with some of the very best of regional Jazz, Blues and Latin artists and, of course, thousands of live music lovers who will meet, mingle and celebrate the music and good times. As a glimpse back to Atlantic City's by-gone era as “The World's Playground", JAZZIN' AROUND TOWN will announce that live music lovers can once again come and “Eat, Drink and Get Jazzed" in the city that's “Always Turned On".
