Brooks live shows are a joyful paean to the power of the blues. Brooks is equally at home playing rock & roll as he is the blues ...six-string fire power. One of the genre's fiercest guitarists. - Chicago Tribune

Sheer energy and excitement. Brings an original brilliance to the blues. - Village Voice

Over the course of his career, guitarist/vocalist LONNIE BROOKS has come a long way from his early days backing Zydeco pioneer Clifton Chenier. He has produced many hits himself as a rock & rolling R&B singer before emerging in Chicago as an innovative bluesman in his own right.

Brooks defies simple classification by shaping his signature sound with rock & roll, R&B, Cajun boogie, country twang and hard Chicago blues. His massive voice and blistering guitar playing make every song he sings his own. And as anyone who has seen him in concert can attest, his live performances are legendary for kick-starting many a party and spreading a rollicking good time.

Deborah Coleman is a triple threat. She combines fresh songwriting, soulful vocals, and inspired guitar work on this unique blend of blues, R&B, and soul. It's a magical combination. - Vintage Guitar

One of blues music’s most exciting young talents ...a fiery guitarist who makes the spine tingle with her unbridled raw energy. - USA Today

DEBORAH COLEMAN is unquestionably a new star in blues music. The five CDs she has released certainly have established her as one of the music's leading lights, but it has been her knockout live performances that have made her one of the hottest commodities on the contemporary scene. With her well-deserved reputation for raw energy and crowd-pleasing shows,Coleman is a highly charismatic stage performer. She stretches out in a live setting and demonstrates both her fluid, warm vocals and her considerable guitar skills.

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
