Featuring Live Music By Legendary Latin Jazz Sensation Poncho Sanchez And His Latin Jazz Band, and Tribute Bands FanHalen, INXSive and LedZepagain
San Pedro's premiere family, music and food festival will take place on the Waterfront Promenade at the Port of Los Angeles in San Pedro from August 5-7. The event will showcase local cuisine and wines and spirits and will offer continuous entertainment including live bands, a family fun zone with activities for the whole family; merchants and crafters, and local artists' displays.
Participating restaurants include San Pedro Brewing Company, Porky's BBQ, Buono's Authentic Pizza, and Ports O' Call Restaurant, Live entertainment will take place daily and ranges from tribute bands like FanHalen, INXSive and LedZepagain to legendary Latin Jazz sensation Poncho Sanchez and his Latin Jazz Band who will take the stage on Sunday, August 7 at 5:15 p.m.
“This year's taste features the best of what you can find here in our unique city," said Anthony Pirozzi, Board Chairman, San Pedro Chamber of Commerce, “ We are proud to feature a great line up of restaurants as well as great music that make our event ideal for the whole family. Taste in San Pedro is an annual event produced by the San Pedro Chamber of Commerce and this year title sponsor, the Port of Los Angeles. Additional major sponsors include Albertsons, and SA Recycling. The 23rd annual event will take place Friday, August 5, 2011 from 6:00 pm-10:00 pm (concert only); Saturday, August 6, 2011 from noon-9:00 pm and Sunday, August 7, 2011 from noon:00 pm. Admission is $5- $10 per person and food and beverage tickets are $1 each. A portion of proceeds from ticket sales benefit local charities. FREE parking is available at multiple lots with shuttle and historic red car service to the venue.
