American Jazz Museum Presents Donivan Bailey

The American Jazz Museum presents 'ASR Records recording artist, Donivan Bailey with his group, DaeReaujam on Thursday, Sept. 8th in The Blue Room jazz club exhibit. Along with Donivan playing drums, piano and singing, this performance also features Andre Demps from the Grammy Award winning group “The Sounds of Blackness“.

Musician and composer Donivan Bailey is a native of Kansas City, Kan. He has performed and recorded numerous times as a drum set player with many of Kansas City’s most noted musicians including Bobby Watson, the McFadden Brothers, Alaadeen & Group 21, and the Chris Burnett Quartet.

He also is an original founding member of measureXmeasure (measure by measure), the popular a cappella vocal group that was originally formed in the mid-1990’s as a student group at the University of Kansas.

He recently signed as a recording artist with ‘ASR Records. A CD project is in the planning stages.
