Allen Weber And His Band Hot Shock Finalizing Debut Album

Jacksonville, FL: After months of planing, writing, and rehearsal, jazz fusion guitarist Allen Weber and his band Hot Shock have just finished recording the debut album.

The recording was done in the storied Jacksonville FL studio Warehouse Studios—Ryan Turk engineered the recording. It is being mixed at“TrueTone Studios with Andrew Perlowich engineering the mixing.

When asked to describe the music Weber said “You could describe our music this way: Jazz Fusion infused with Latin, Carribeo, Funk, Blues, R & B and Rock... You could almost say it is World Jazz Fusion” Weber went on to say “I call our style of music: Sandunga Jazz Fusion (Groove with Energy)”

The album produced by Weber, will consist of eight songs written by Weber: Gong Xi; Blues Sparks; Distant Thunder; Aw Funk It!; Bricks Without Straw; Crying Out Into Emptiness; Caribbean Breeze; Lighting the Fire. The album will will be released fall of 2013 as a CD, and then expected to be released on vinyl. Some of the songs will be featured on upcoming episodes of YourJaxMusic on the CW network.

The instrumentation and musicians on the CD are: Allen Weber (guitar, vocals); John Baker (electric bass guitar); Mike Noble (electronic keyboards); Frank Basile (drums).
