All-Star, All-Women Jazz Jam at LaRose Jazz Club on December 11th

Jazz Bridge and the Sunday Sessions at LaRose Jazz Club, 5531 Germantown Ave, Philadelphia, PA, will join together on Sunday December 11th to raise money for women jazz and blues musicians in crisis and for the wives of jazz and blues musicians. Showtime: 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tickets: $20.00

Appearing that night will be some of the best and the brightest women musicians in the Greater Philadelphia Metro area: Monnette Sudler, Denise King, Miss Justine, Gina Roche, Cindy LeBlanc, Suzanne Cloud, Karen Rodriguez, Lynn Riley & The World Mix, Rhenda Fearrington, Denise Montana, Wendy Simon, Suzzette Ortiz, Dawn Evans, Pearl Williams, and Ella Gahnt. Also that night, Jazz Bridge will be presenting its “Making a Difference Award" to Thelma Anderson, a woman who has devoted herself to Philadelphia jazz for over 65 years. Founder of the Council of Jazz Advocates and the Tony Williams' Jazz Scholarship Fund, Anderson will also receive $250 in award money. All proceeds go to the Jazz Bridge Daphne Fund to benefit women jazz and blues musicians. Jazz Bridge is a 501C3 public charity (and United Way agency) dedicated to assisting professional jazz and blues musicians in the Philadelphia area.
