All About Jazz has streamlined the posting, editing, deleting, and reporting of its comments to improve handling and flow.

In addition to ravamping how we handle comments, we also improved the presentation, making it easier to follow and post to a thread.

Readers can sort comments by newest or oldest post, track when comments were posted down to the minute, and delete their own posts. Comments can be edited without leaving the page and the comments section refreshes once you submit your post.

To better promote new threads, updated threads and popular threads, we've created a new tabbed comments box which appears in the right panel on the All About Jazz home page.

We encourage you to post comments and upload a member profile photo so your comments are easier to spot in a thread. You can upload a photo by going to your “Update Profile" form and clicking the “Upload/change photo" link under the “General" tab. Here's a great example of a thread that includes personalized photos for easier member identification.

All About Jazz needs your support

Donate
All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
