All About Jazz, with the support of its vast network of professional photographers, has launched “In Pictures," a photo essay column where AAJ publishes a series of photos as an article: from live event coverage (e.g. Umbria Jazz Festival) to themes (e.g. “Jazz Guitarists"). In addition to viewing the photos presented on an article page, readers can also view them in a full screen slideshow.

Professional Photographers Wanted

If you are seeking press credentials to a festival or a live event and are willing to contribute to All About Jazz's “In Pictures“ column, please contact Michael Ricci for details.

Submitting an “In Pictures" Article

Submitting an “In Pictures“ article is as easy as 1-2-3. Once approved by All About Jazz, follow these steps:

  • Upload a minimum of 12 photos (no maximum);
  • Tag and title your photos from your Photo Admin page (to access, click Photos > Manage Existing from your member page);
  • Submit your article and include the title (e.g. Rochester International Jazz Festival 2017"), an introduction (1-2 paragraphs) and place the unique tag value (that you assigned during step 2) in the “Photo tag" box.
Once submitted, All About Jazz will automatically present up to 36 images on the article page, like this.

Submission Guidelines

We're looking for a nice variety of photos (not the same shot repeated), and if it's a live event, a few photos of the audience and of the location/ambience is helpful.

Please try to submit a similar number of photos for each member of the band.

Always include the publicists or direct contact's email address in the email notification box on the article submission form. When you do, they will be notified the moment the article is published.
