A New Edition Of Montreal's Festival Jazz En Rafale Under The Theme 'LIVE CAM'

With the pandemic not letting up, the Festival Jazz En Rafale LIVE CAM continues to bring the joy and intimacy of the 'live' jazz club-concert experience directly to the fans. Since it launched end of January 2021 (and running until May 2021), this year's festival is presenting nine different concerts featuring some of Quebec's most prolific jazz artists all performing live and on demand for a virtual and intimate experience.

This edition of the Festival Jazz En Rafale was coordinated by the Effendi jazz record label in collaboration with representatives of the Montreal jazz scene that includes the historic Piccolo Studios (recording and broadcasting location), MB Productions (video recording and webcasting), Justin Toussaint (Web Master), Pascal Milette (graphic designer) and several Quebec jazz independent producers: Fam Group, Boulev'art, Yari Productions, Odd Sound, Yves Léveillé Productions, Félix Stüssi Productions, Collectif Jazzlab Orchestra and their associated artists.

For Jazz En Rafale-LIVE CAM the first objective is to create an unforgettable experience for each musician around an outstanding event, so that they perform at their full potential, in the best possible conditions, and via the web. The second objective is to succeed in reaching and attracting new audiences. Currently with the pandemic, live or delayed webcasting is becoming a strategy that offers the ability to reach people who can no longer go to concerts and/or who can no longer access everyone's projects easily anywhere. As live music and jazz is suffering greatly from this, the Festival Jazz En Rafale LIVE CAM is encouraging not only Quebec jazz artists, but all artists and their productions to move forward during this planetary whirlwind.
