In an urgent appeal to help families in need, Danny Kastner will create personalized Holiday Request Song Videos on YouTube for 100 donors on Christmas Day. The families, nominated by participating Boys and Girls Clubs across the US, will benefit in the New Year through donations on crowdfunding site Indiegogo.

Kastner, once known as the Troubadour of Trump Tower, was well known for his on-the-spot, song-antics back in Season 3 of The Apprentice with Donald Trump. Kastner noted, “It’s time to grab the guitar and get serious about helping these families. Their stories are heartbreaking, and we’re taking action through social media and crowdfunding. As far as we can tell, 100 original written video songs by request, in a single day, is a world record, so we’re gonna break (out) some Guinness and celebrate when we set this milestone - while never losing sight of the goal to help these families in need.”

Donations for songs are accepted via the Crowdfund Christmas Indiegogo project created by Kastner and his LA tech company Social Edison. Specifically, Crowdfund Christmas is a “12 Days of Christmas Stories” campaign running Dec. 21th through January 1st. Families, with incredible and often heartbreaking stories, were nominated before the launch by participating Boys and Girls Clubs. The project is underwritten by The Carter Foundation, covering all transaction fees, enabling 100% of every donation to go to the Clubs and their families.

David Walker, President/Chief Executive Officer, Boys & Girls Club of West San Gabriel Valley (Los Angeles) noted, “Social network fundraising needs to start somewhere, and our Club is looking forward to working with Social Edison on this innovative project to raise funds for some of our most needy families, through crowdfunding.”
