New jazz blog from NPR Music shares “driving passion" for jazz music, culture

NPR Music announces the launch of “A Blog Supreme"--a running journal driven by a passion for jazz music and culture. It's a place for MP3s of rising jazz stars and full concerts with legends; for comments, interviews and recommendations; and most of all: music. New entries are posted every weekday.

Written by NPR Music staff and Member Station partners, “A Blog Supreme" provides compelling content for both indoctrinated audiences and casual listeners. In its inaugural post, “A Blog Supreme” promised to show audiences “Our abiding reverence for this great born-in-America art form, and our postmodern critical amusement toward it." Read the entire first post here.

“A Blog Supreme" gives voice to NPR Music's extensive jazz and blues section, which offers hundreds of new and archived concerts, studio sessions, interviews and stories. Every week there are new installments of JazzSet with Dee Dee Bridgewater, Marian McPartland's Piano Jazz and Take Five: A Weekly Jazz Sampler, a five-song listening set picked by staff, musicians and guests. NPR Music's jazz section is also home to monthly concerts webcast Live from the Village Vanguard.
