As if 12 Points main program wasn’t enough for serious music lovers, 12 Points Showcase Club & Jam Session puts three of Ireland’s hottest new ands under the spotlight from 11pm upstairs in Sweeneys.

On Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, 12 Points hijinks continue into the wee small hours with ‘fringe’ after-show gigs and improvisation-friendly jam sessions for 12 Points ticket holders, musicians and delegates. Three of Irelands most exciting emerging bands will lead the way, showcasing what Dublin’s experimental music scene has to offer.

On Thursday night The CEO Experiment kicks off The Showcase Club at 11pm in Sweeney’s on Dame St. This excellent Dublin based trio of Leopoldo Osio on keys, Cote Calmet on drums and Peter Erdei on electric bass plays a set of post-bop and contemporary jazz, channeled through original compositions and a reworking of standards, with creative improvisations and high energy interplay.

Friday night aftershow club will be hosted by BUNK- an instrumental funk/soul quartet building on the legacy of the studio 'house bands' of the classic rhythm and blues era. A tight and rhythmic four-piece, infusing blues into instrumental grooves, yet loose enough to explore the adventurous terrain of improvisation.

When the final performance at Project Arts Centre wraps on Saturday night, it’s time for musicians, festival delegates and audience to head to Sweeney’s on Dame St, for the after-show, starting with a performance by Leo Drezden at 11pm before the floor is open for an improv jam session. Leo Drezden take inspiration from 70's synth-rock, Japanese soundtracks and the experimental scope of early British electronica, whilst carving a sound completely of their own. Their recently released debut album got a 4 star review from the Irish Times and summer 2015 is already filling up for them with multiple festival bookings.
