Monday, August 20, 2012 is the 40th Anniversary of Stax Records' historic Wattstax concert festival that was held in Los Angeles for more than 112,00 fans. It was the second-largest gathering of African-Americans in history at the time. Join us for this special panel discussion/Q&A moderated by Memphis radio personality Henry Nelson, with some of the participants including Wattstax organizer and former Stax Records owner Al Bell, Stax legend William Bell, members of The Temprees and Gospel Soul Children , Lee Sain, Stax Records publicity director and former Soulsville Foundation CEO Deanie Parker, and others.
