Get your visas - you're bound for a global party.

We live in an exciting time for music. For the first time in history, artists from all over the globe can share their music virtually anywhere on the planet. Beatmakers from all corners can collaborate on music projects instantly, without requiring big investments or structures backing them up.

This means a flood of songs pouring in from thousands and thousands of computers. More specifically, this means entire genres, which were previously constrained to specific nations and regions, are now gaining international visibility: you no longer need to live in Rio to listen to baile funk, or Luanda to hear kuduro. Creative borders are disappearing, and budding beatmakers are now exposed to a myriad of genres, first hand, without filter.

As a result, the difficulty today is not only piecing together quality music, but rather navigating this sea of creativity, and fully enabling artists by establishing worthy structures to push the music. The rules have changed of course, and artists no longer need financiers. Instead they need catalysts facilitating access to pipelines and niches of scattered fans, they need people with time and will to do the boring work, i.e. the many tasks involved in taking the music from the studio to the mp3 player.

Enter UrbanWorld Records, a much needed outlet making sense out of the creative magma that surrounds us. Mikael Palner and his team have had the vision to bring a wide array of talent together, and the skills to package it into highly relevant and addictive releases. They are focusing on global bass, a loosely defined, yet deep genre of hybrid beats, which has captured the attention and talent of an ever expanding generation of open minded creators.

For the third time, UrbanWorld Records has done an impeccable job at filtering the best, and sharing the absolute cream of the crop in this perfectly packaged compilation. With one foot in a Colombian picó, the other in a Frafra wedding celebration, and yet another set of limbs in grimy warehouses pounding with heavy bass, Global Bass Volume 3 will have your head traveling at a thousand miles per second, from Barranquilla to Copenhagen, Bolgatanga to Varna. The global music revolution is stomping ahead, and UrbanWorld will transport you onto this wild ride. These beats will leave no one immobile. You have been warned.

Global Bass Vol.3 is full of high quality global music, featuring the newly signed artist Superpendejos, who with their splendid mixture of cumbia and deep grooves made it to many promenent DJ bags this summer with their track “Ya Sta Qi."

Silver Bullit with their tracks “Koloko" and “The Meter" show their potential on the tropical dancefloor with sounds from Africa and Jamaica mixed with fistfull of funk.

Los Chicos Altos is a well known artist on UrbanWorld, their signature sound of afro-latin grooves is a firestarter on any dancefloor. Their tracks “Senora Santana" and “Pa'lante" gets them a potition between the absolute best in new Latin music, here together with Idan K & The Movement of Rhythm and The Empresarios.

Kosta Kostov's fusion beats are always a pleasure, from Balkan to Africa and Brazil. “Mambesa" is a groovy Kwaito track, and “Kaduna Bass," with Dj Chernobyl on the remix, fuses Gnawa with Technobrega.

As a special bonus on the digital side: Four tracks from upcoming projects: Copia Doble Systema is soon ready with their new EP Suelta La Voz including this Thornato remix of the B side “Boom Boom." Agencia Sonora is a new signing on the Cumbia side; their track “Cumbia Jungle Sonora" is a fantastic cumbia with equally fantastic vocal. Pops Jabu is bringing Baile Funk back to UrbanWorld and DJ Shotnez's collaboration with Systema Solar are a sure-shot for the dancefloor.
