Twenty-Second Great Connecticut Traditional Jazz Festival in July 2008

The Great Connecticut Traditional Jazz Festival is scheduled to take place July 25, 26, and 27, 2008. Bands scheduled include The Galvanized Jazz Band (CT), The Midiri Brothers (NJ), Blue Street Jazz Band (CA), Jeff Barnhart (CT), Cornet Chop Suey (MO). The Festival takes place at Sunrise Resort in Moodus, CT. Tickets may be ordered from the Festival at 1-800-HOT-EVENt.

The Great Connecticut Traditional Jazz Festival is dedicated to the preservation of traditional jazz through the Festival and the support of young musicians. The Festival supports a Youth Jazz Camp, now in its third year, providing instruction to middle- and high-school age musicians. The Festival also supports its charitable arm, Horns for Kids, which provides material and financial support to school music programs in Connecticut.
