TRIO MUNDO is an exciting new collaboration between percussionist Manolo Badrena, guitarist Dave Stryker and bassist Andy McKee. The music is an organic mixture of these musicians diverse influences, combining Jazz with Latin and World Music.

Puerto Rican born percussionist Manolo Badrena is best known for his work with Weather Report, recording their platinum-selling album Heavy Weather, which included the mega-hit “Birdland." Manolos unique sounds have been captured on over 100 recordings, and he has performed with Spyro Gyra, Michael Franks, Ahmad Jamal, and Steve Kahn's Eyewitness. Currently he plays with Joe Zawinul collaborating on the Syndicate's Grammy nominated CD, World Tour. With TRIO MUNDO, Manolo's incredible spirit is brought to the foreground, with his one-of-a-kind percussion, drumming, singing, guitar playing and composing.

Guitarist Dave Stryker has 15 CD's as a leader as well as sideman experience with saxophone legend Stanley Turrentine, with whom he shared the stage and recordings for over 10 years. He also has worked in the bands of Jack McDuff, Kevin Mahogany, Eliane Elias, Javon Jackson and co-leads a group with saxophonist Steve Slagle. Steve is a special guest on TRIO MUNDO'S recording, adding his distinct style on flute, wooden flute, and soprano sax.

Bassist Andy McKee not only records as a leader, but is a much in-demand sideman with some of the biggest names in jazz. Elvin Jones, Michel Petrucciani, The Mingus Big Band, Hank Jones, Don Cherry and many others have utilized his dynamic and inventive approach to the acoustic bass.

Together these distinctive players have come together in TRIO MUNDO, celebrating the joy of music.
