(NEW YORK, NY)—Toolshed Media announced today that it has joined forces with marketing pioneer Sean O'Connell and Asheville, NC-based Music Allies. Together, Music Allies and Toolshed are focused on providing music, festival, and film clients with a results-based approach to marketing.

Music Allies and Toolshed will create customized campaigns for clients utilizing a mix of online promotion and marketing, visual design, publicity, radio marketing, brand involvement, direct-to-fan marketing, and event integration.

“Sean and the Music Allies team have a long-term visionary approach to marketing music that delivers results. Music Allies' approach to marketing encompasses the creative use of online publicity, contests, state-of-the-art promotional tools, and a focus on branding and live performance opportunities. This compliments Toolshed's existing focus on social and online marketing, as well as digital strategy. Our combined efforts will provide our clients with a very broad, integrated team," says Toolshed founder Dick Huey.

“Teaming up with Toolshed demonstrates our commitment to artist development, strategic thinking, and creative campaigns," says Music Allies CEO Sean O'Connell.

Music Allies continues to innovate, and improve the ways musicians, labels, brands and festivals approach marketing. Earlier this year, Music Allies launched Creative Allies (www.creativeallies.com), an online community of art students, designers, hobbyists and music fans. Creative Allies gives everyone a chance to enter design contests for their favorite bands, films, television shows, and festivals. Current contests include a poster contest for Feist, a skateboard design contest for Neon Trees, creation of an admat for Thievery Corporation, the development of original art for the Ting Tings, and even the chance to design a tour bus.
