At other times, Sahin injects softly flowing passages into the bubbling stew to promote a more lyrical setting. In all cases, the guitarist executes with acute clarity so that his spontaneous ideas ring out joyously above the background of churning, grooving rhythms. The trio interacts as a well-oiled machine throughout; Sahin and Eckhardt often bounce phrases off each other to the supplement of bent electronics and a light percussive touch.
